The ‘Collective West’ is saying that Ukraine has been provided with everything they need to kick off this ‘Spring Offensive’. Independent observers, the Ukrainians themselves, and the Russians disagree. Ukraine never got the weapons, or ammunition they requested, and they are publicly, on national television in Ukraine, complaining about a huge shortfall in the amount of ammo, and weapon systems delivered, compared to their original request, many months ago. Especially ammo for artillery systems, stating that it will never be enough anyway when fighting a country like Russia, with unlimited supplies.
Like everybody else, unless you happen to be in the ‘Pentagon’, ‘NATO-Headquarters’, the bunker of the ‘Chief of Staff’ in Kiev, or Moscow, I will have to guess who is telling the truth, and who is ‘spinning’ this war to make a few bucks, or lying to the public for reasons unknown. I have no reason, yet, to doubt those sources that say NATO fell short by a wide margin, and that it has no way to pump up the volume. In my perception they are bragging, in order to lay the blame for an expected failure on the doorstep of Zelensky and his crew. Which is why Zelensky called Xi Jinping, to see if the Chinese leader could help him out on short notice.
Note that the Chinese won’t talk to Biden, or Blinken, and as far as I know the Brits didn’t even try. But Xi did pick up the phone when Zelensky called. Zelensky called reportedly without prior approval from his ‘friends’ in ‘Washington’ or ‘Brussels’, which signals a breach of trust. But after Xi told Zelensky to avoid siding with the ‘Collective West’ on Taiwan, he apparently suggested that the Chinese may commit a ‘Special Envoy’ to look into the matter, with plans for some sort of ‘European Security Arrangement’ to solve the problems. Now, shoot me, but this is exactly what the Russians were asking for in the second half of 2021, and all those years before, with NATO ignoring them, confident that a provoked war over the Donbas-region, and ‘Sanctions From Hell’ would bag the Russians in a month or two, before they could focus on finishing off the Chinese.
Again, it may all be part of some kind of elaborate secret plan NATO developed, with all this talk about Ukraine being in no position whatsoever to bring Russia to its knees on the battlefield being just one big ruse to lull the Russians to sleep, but I doubt it. In various Western publications stories are appearing about women, and even a ‘transgender’, volunteering to serve as cannon-fodder, which does encourage certain people in our parts of the world, but without discounting these volunteers, I draw my own conclusion that all this talk about having no lack of men willing and able to ‘kill Russians’, could do with some scrutiny from unbiased reporters. Women did fight on the side of the USSR in the Second World War, and there is this well known song in Russia about a female sniper, which is inspiring many Russians even today, in this war, but that ‘choice’ then was not out of luxury either.
The ‘Telegraaf’ tabloid newspaper in my country did show a picture of one of these ‘toy’ drones, filled with explosives, which crashed near Moscow, after running out of fuel, with the header that it scared Putin, since ‘we’ are closer than he thought ‘we’ were. Now, pardon me, but they are not talking on my behalf, let that be crystal clear. And I most certainly do not agree with terror attacks on leaders who feel our ‘Unipolar’ world order should be challenged. If I were Zelensky, I would not have led my people into this furnace, and I would seek an end to it now, while there still is something left that might become a prosperous country, after siding with ‘BRI’ and dumping all Dollar and Euro denominated debt in the wastebasket. It would be the end of the ‘Collective West’ and NATO too, but hey, using my country in this Proxy War, and treating me like a clown, who are they to blame me?
That wouldn’t set my conscience free, but continuing on this path will make matters worse. We’re all human beings. We’re all duped every now and then, and we’re all assholes from time to time. This is not some minor error, or oversight, and I know the stories about Zelensky ‘cashing’ Big Time, buying homes around the world as he is lining his pockets, but if he thought he would emerge victorious, *and* wealthy, the individual who crushed Russia almost single handedly, against all odds, that is still a different proposition from emerging filthy rich, period. But all of this is only speculation on my behalf, and ‘reading into events’, and I’m not inclined to ‘speedballing’ to stay ahead of the pack on this. Eventually the very real events will decide the outcome, and how many people will have to die before common sense returns to the ‘Market’.
