An essay about people of limited value

With Zelensky on tour in Europe, and the Russians licking their wounds from the inconsequential drone attack on the Kremlin flagpole, the entire world is getting ready for the Ukrainian/NATO Spring Offensive, to follow on the heels of the crowning of King Charles III in the country which conceived this ‘Great Game. It is truly pathetic. Everything, including this lavish crowning ceremony in a time when the British people are struggling to make ends meet. I do wish this pensioner, who had to wait all these years for his first job, with his ambitious second wife, no harm, and a long and happy life. I won’t say prosperous, because that is a given in their case, but I’m anxious to see him escape from this ‘WEF’-orbit and hugely expensive ‘Everything Green’ hobby of his, born out of a protected life around various castles with landscaped grounds which give the impression of being the ‘countryside’, devoting more attention to these people who are bringing the country to its knees economically through a sanctions- and shooting war with nuclear armed Russia, while teasing the Russians to nuke the place, but I won’t hold my breath. So, here we are, and there we go.

Whenever I recommend other authors and commentators, I do so because I feel strongly that their take on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, which started in 2014, when the ‘Collective West’ regime-changed the country under direction of Victoria ‘Fuck the EU’ Nuland, and lots of help from ‘fucked up’ European leaders at the time, and ever since, to this day, is valuable. This does not necessarily mean I agree with them, and I may disagree with them on everything they say when they open their mouth again ‘tomorrow’. I’m a sucker for realism, which is a hard to come by commodity in the world we are living in today. Not merely because of the much needed obfuscation in times of war, not showing the enemy the cards you are holding, to avoid spoiling the element of surprise. The other reason is that so many people in our part of the world are actually living in a lie. I can handle people who have different explanations for the mysteries of life, or who interpret certain facts differently, assigning them a different value. But I have great difficulty with people who insist on calling something a ‘vaccine’, for instance, while it clearly isn’t, and then change the definition.

Along the same line I insist that a person is not winning when he, or she, is about to cross the finish line dead last, with a considerable margin, while limping. I may accept that he or she is a hero in his or her own right to even make it to the finish, given his or her dreadful condition, but that is not what the game was all about. If the organizers want to give everybody a medal for participating, that’s up to them, but the winner is the individual who crossed the finish line first, without being disqualified for cheating. Now allow me to return to Mark Sleboda’s assessment, referred to in my previous contribution, of how the war in Ukraine is likely to become a ‘forever war’, as the ‘Collective West’ will keep the fire going, while Russia will not give NATO a spanking to teach that unruly child, and be done with it. Or, like in Orwell’s ‘1984’, where war was a given:

‘… it was only four years since Oceania had been at war with Eastasia and in alliance with Eurasia. But that was merely a piece of furtive knowledge which he happened to possess because his memory was not satisfactorily under control. Officially the change of partners had never happened. Oceania was at war with Eurasia: therefore Oceania had always been at war with Eurasia. The enemy of the moment always represented absolute evil, and it followed that any past or future agreement with him was impossible.’

Sleboda is correct to say that the ‘Collective West’ has every intention to ‘win’, even if that is out of the question. Dead last, limping, with even the ‘Rand-Corporation’, which did the planning for this war, saying that we can’t afford it to drag on. In other words, if we go down that path, it will be economic and social ruin, even if we restrain ourselves, and do not go ahead with this planned follow-up war with China to boot. Because we, that is, ‘our side’, designed this ‘Great Game’, and if we can’t win, we’ll change the rules. But we’ll lose objectively anyway.

So much better to come to terms with reality, pay the piper, accept the honors for participating, and get on with it. Try to build something for a change. We used to be good at it, before we exported all those jobs in manufacturing, research and design, while killing what was left of our industry and agriculture to save the Planet. Creating only jobs around coronations, congresses, festivals, events, symposia, shows, soaps, and ‘meet-and-greets’ with Zelensky. Offering pensioners the top spot, admiring his or her weird remarks and odd behavior as ‘insightful’ and confirmation of being ‘original’. Cheers! Bombs away!

If China and Russia, with all these other countries dumping the Dollar and the Euro in rapid order, stay focussed on building, growing and mining stuff, where does that leave us, seeking ways to build firecrackers at a much faster pace, just to keep up with the Russians and the Chinese, and failing. You can’t expect king Charles to revisit his early education in order to figure out where he might have made a better career choice from a societal perspective, and make light work of a transition back to ‘Industrial Capitalism’, since feudal is in his genes anyway. And that’s okay. It won’t hurt us to have some people around who love to dress up, and do parades. Be it a gay pride parade or something to do with this or that dignitary waving at us from his limousine. I once visited San Francisco, with my wife, and all of a sudden this ‘high speed chase’ came out of nowhere, racing down the empty street, with secret service people in the back of armored Suburbans, and Bill Clinton waved at us from the ‘Beast’. We knew he was waving at us, because the street was empty otherwise. We had to laugh, since we were from Holland, and we only know a prime minister who rides a bicycle to and from his job of denying the farmers a living, and providing for Zelensky. But hey, if the Americans value that kind of thing, why not? And I understand this John F. Kennedy trauma, where their last real president was shot while touring an American city in an open limousine, shortly after delivering this monumental speech about what he intended to do to return the US to its senses and bring about peace. But it wasn’t the limousine that killed him. His brother was killed in a hotel, if you understand what I’m getting at. You need the people to protect you if the ‘Deep State’ is out to get you. Or you are a dead man walking, or a turncoat if you decide peace is not worth it, and the people won't act to protect you anyway.
