Some observations about Game Changers in the wars we're waging

Israel is 'beheading' Hezbollah and Hamas, martyring many others, including scores of civilians. The number of civilian casualties from the first 25 days of Israel's response to the attack of the al Qassam brigades on Israeli soil, October 7 almost one year ago, was much greater than the number of victims in Ukraine after 563 days of war. And after destroying Gaza, but not defeating Hamas, Israel shifted its focus to Lebanon.

Although the jury is still out on how many military people the Russians killed, and lost, and how many militants in the employ of Hamas and Hezbollah lost their lives, I think it is fair to say the Russians are in a different war from the one Israel is engaged in, if we look at it from a strategic perspective. Clearly the Russians could have killed many more civilians, even without resorting to nukes, if that was what they were after. But they are not. You only need to look at the numbers. While Israel is not aiming for peace, now, or in the future, Russia is guided by this idea that many Ukrainians in the territory they come to occupy, and now formally claim as Russian territory, to be vacated by Ukraine in exchange for peace, will either welcome them, or forgive them, eventually. Those who won't, no matter what, are moving like dust before the broom.

My account on 'X' has been filled to the brink with people commenting on developments in the Middle-East, with a colourful mix of cheerful people applauding Israel, and others who feel strongly that Israel is overstepping the mark, if these people were not supporting the Palestinians to begin with. But the bulk of them are 'with Ukraine', partly a result of how the algorithm pairs people, I guess. But the war with Russia is generally more popular than the one in the Middle East in my country. Few people analyse the wars, relying instead on their 'knee jerk' loyalty which is the result of many years of conditioning. 'I'm with Dickhead!'

Whereas the conflict (war) between NATO and Russia on Ukrainian soil is pretty straightforward, as far as I'm concerned, this conflict (war) in the Middle East is a can of worms. A wide range of 'trajectories' related to Israel's wider ambitions require 'servicing'. Arguments in favour of certain choices block other objectives, with Netanyahu and his inner circle under threat from all sides now. The political situation in the US is mighty important for the Israeli prime minister, and many Israelis are fed up with his antics. Moreover, as BRICS is winning over Arab nations to join them, the 'Divide and Conquer' strategy which has served Netanyahu well, and resulted in rapprochement between Israel and the Gulf States, including Saudi Arabia, went out the window as a useful tool.

Netanyahu desperately needs a wider war to create 'focus', even though it might be the end of Israel altogether. And he has no time to lose to make it happen. The very fact that the family silverware is on the table, after all the money is already gone, and the country is mortgaged, since this war is costing Israel a fortune. The deep pockets of his American billionaire class supporters are going to take a hit with ongoing de-Dollarisation in the world, and insurmountable debt throughout the West, all of which has to be alarming for those Israelis who merely want some peace and quiet, and for the country to be accepted as a normal country for once. They are not prepared to do away with Israel being a 'Jewish State', but if they ever trusted Netanyahu to deliver them to this 'Greater Israel' mirage, they are waking up in the middle of a nightmare. Trump and Musk being on Netanyahu's side doesn't look too reassuring either, since Robert Kennedy and Tulsi Gabbard, presented as the people who will lead the 'transition team', if Trump manages to pull it off, are less enthusiastic about going to war for Netanyahu.

Russia sure doesn't need a wider war, but it may get it if Kamala wins. Or before election-day in the US if Ukraine finds a way to drag the NATO-countries into it. NATO as a bureaucracy is already involved, and offering all kinds of military support beyond shipping all the weapons and ammo to Ukraine which isn't needed in Israel, but individual countries are not committed. Countries with large contingents of Russia-haters are prepared to commit suicide the moment 'Brussels' gives them the green light. I read that Estonia is considering a 'pre-emptive strike' on Russia? That midget puts way too much trust on 'Article 5' and solidarity among the nations forming the EU and NATO, and may bite off more than it can chew. Monuments around that country commemorating SS-troops fighting the Soviets are giving other countries the shivers. Pavel, a military man from the Czech republic which floated this failed plan to buy ammo at various countries around the globe, told Ukraine it has to find a way to cut their losses, and settle for what is left. He is no fan of the Russians, obviously, but his country was an early victim of Germany's expansion in the run-up to the Second World War. And no real love for these SS-fighters next door to the Baltic countries in Poland either.

It is unclear what Zelensky brought with him from his visit to the US, but most observers agree that it was a complete failure. The Russians are steadily moving Westwards, and even staunch supporters of the 'Man in Green' are saying it is over. Unless some 'Game Changer' weapon emerges which has been kept under wraps. Obviously speculating about the existence of such a weapon on one side, or the other, is highly irresponsible. But I came across a video produced by a US war-veteran and Trump-supporter who told his audience that he obtained documents from US agencies which worry about a Russian-Chinese space based weapon with the capability to create an extremely powerful, directed 'Electro Magnetic Pulse', which would instantly fry all electric equipment in the US. It is true that American agencies are concerned about space based weapon systems, including satellite killers to protect such a weapon too boot, and shield it from close-up inspection. And frying electronic circuits using an 'Electro Magnetic Pulse' through exploding a nuke in the atmosphere has been shown to be a very real threat. In fact, after a Mig-31 of the Soviet-Union was 'diverted' to Japan, where the US picked it apart, they were astonished to find no modern electronic circuitry, until they understood why.

Back in the day the US rushed to shield the circuitry in their strategic bombers and other equipment, building enormous test facilities to support the endeavour. I do not bring this up as solid proof of the existence of such a capability, and the proof of the pudding is in the eating, but I doubt that any country is bold enough to tell the Russians and Chinese to bring it on, and see what happens. Large scale societal collapse would be guaranteed. Back to the Middle Ages in the blink of an eye. Therefore, even suspicions that such a weapon might exist may be enough to deter a country from seeking war, even if the object looking down at them from outer space is a stepladder with some empty cans attached, if you get my drift. Yet a 'Game Changer' it would be.
