Tucker Carlson went to Israel to interview Mike Huckabee, the US ambassador in that country, and it was a disaster for Huckabee, Israel and Trump. Go and watch the interview in full at Carlson’s ‘TCN’ channel, or just the ‘juicy parts’, but the timing was horrible for Trump and Israel, given their plan to attack Iran. Several Arab states were ‘not amused’, to say it politely. Largely because Huckabee claimed these Arabs were sitting on land belonging to the Jews. And Israel and the US desperately need their Arab ‘partners’ to play ball if they launch an attack on Iran.
Now, I don’t claim that this interview caused the delay, or possibly even cancellation of those plans, but it certainly didn’t grease the skids. And it wasn’t smooth sailing to begin with after two aborted, or failed attempts within a single year already. The American real-estate developer Witkoff, Trump’s envoy, sighed in disbelief because he couldn’t understand why the Iranians didn’t just capitulate. This giant armada pounding on the door, ready to waste their country, and all they were prepared to concede, was what they already conceded in the JCPOA, that treaty Trump cancelled during his first term. If Trump accepts that offer, he looks pretty stupid, so he wants the Iranians to give him *something*, but they, like the Russians and the Chinese, steadfastly refuse. Meanwhile, the second Aircraft Carrier Gerald Ford, brought in from the Caribbean, now in the Eastern Mediterranean, is said to have some serious problems with the sewer system on board. Poop everywhere. Some commentators are spreading rumors that we are dealing with sabotage by the crew, which has been ‘on a tour of duty’ like forever, and what is more, they are not eager to play a part in an attack on Iran. Don’t know about that. But war with Iran is not popular in the US among the common people. Only among ‘Law Makers’, who don’t give a poop about what the people want.
That was also something Tucker brought to the attention of Huckabee, that no more than twenty percent of the American people supported war with Iran. To which Huckabee replied that he didn’t give a poop what the people wanted. They are the ‘Law Makers’! Who, exactly? The Network made famous by Epstein? Because it sure looks that way. And this is where this stench is coming from which ‘implicates’ the ‘Jews’, because there are so many of ‘them’ in that Network. Which raises some extremely important questions. If we say ‘Jews’, who are we referring to, exactly? This is not a trivial question at all.
Now, before I go further, let me emphasize that I abhor racism, or hatred towards religious groups. And I’m certainly not denying the fact that the Holocaust happened! As ‘revealed’ in previous essays, there are ‘Jews’ in my own family tree, most pronounced on my mother’s side, but on my father’s side as well, though several generations ago. But how do I know? Well, first of all the names, last names and given names. And such things as one of them taking the trouble to list all the Jewish families in Amsterdam in his day, which neat little book was subsequently used by the Nazi’s to find and erase Jewish families during the occupation. Though by that time my mother and her family were not ‘seen’ as Jewish. But how about DNA?
Now, though I do investigate my family history, because it is great fun, amateur detective-work, and great stories, while learning heaps about the history of Holland and the rest of Europe almost ‘in passing’, I really do not care about race and things like that. But what is more, ‘Jewish’, from my perspective, refers to a religion, and not a race. This is recognized in Israel as well, where it is prohibited to investigate your DNA without a court order. Because the bulk of the Israelis are *not* semites, according to scientists. Instead their ancestors belong to a Turkish tribe which converted to Judaism in the Eighth and Ninth century AD, when the larger region was under Byzantine control. Hence all these Jews in Eastern Europe. This poses a serious problem *only* if you insist that Palestine is their ‘promised land’. They didn’t ‘flee’ from Palestine at all. Worse, according to the Torah-Jews, the Orthodox Jews, their G.d withdrew their exclusive rights to the ‘promised land’ because they had misbehaved, and would only get it back upon the arrival of what the Christians call the ‘Messiah’. With Christ not recognized as such by the Jewish people who actually lived in Palestine at the time.
So, it is a huge religious train wreck, and the truly Orthodox Jews insist that they have *no* exclusive right to Palestine at all, and no way they can be made to serve in the Israeli military, killing other semites on a quest to enlarge the State of Israel. Though Jewish families which never left Palestine, or their descendants who came back, feel ‘connected’ to those lands, and the religious sites, where they want to live, in peace and harmony, they differ from the ‘Zionists’, many of them not originally from Palestine. And, in fact, many not even Jewish in a religious sense, less so if we include the *huge* number of Christian ‘Zionists’, who play ‘Devil’s Advocate’ by promoting the rise of the State of Israel. If done from a Christian religious perspective, this is cruel, because according to their interpretation of the ‘scripture’, *their* ‘Messiah’ will *return* the moment Israel will be destroyed.
All over the world Orthodox Jews, wearing easily recognizable clothing which identify them as such, practice their religion in peace. But because they *look* different, and observe different traditions, they do not integrate, and they predominantly have their businesses in the money- and gold-trade, and in jewelry, diamonds, science, and ‘liberal arts’ which leave them with all the freedom they need to arrange their lives as they like it best. They speak Hebrew among themselves, and go to their temples, where they perform their rituals. It is beyond me why the Nazi’s felt they had to extinguish them. Or why people these days feel the need to see them as the ‘enemy’. Though, granted, it *does* create problems if they insist on the strict observance of their *own* rules when in the company of people with different religious convictions, or people who are secular. Especially when traveling. Intolerance usually stems from not understanding the ‘other’. If an Orthodox Jewish man refuses to be seated next to a woman, because she may have her ‘period’, that is likely to create animosity.
It is not my calling to find ‘solutions’ for everything, but conflicts like that may not be all that difficult to address effectively, and maintain the peace. Now then, not every person *looking* like an Orthodox Jew is actually ‘observing’. Exactly because of the horrors of the Holocaust, some people ‘excavated’ their ‘Jewishness’ because criticism, and suspicions from ‘Non Jews’ is easy to ‘neutralize’ by stating the that opposing individual is an ‘anti-semite’. It created plenty of leeway for utterly criminal people to ‘get away with murder’. I’m talking about *very* real criminals, trafficking drugs, weapons and underaged girls, and all the rest. If they even visit the Shul, it is rare. They do not dress in Orthodox clothing if they can avoid it, and may not observe *any* of the restrictions Jewish people are supposed to abide by, but they leave no stone unturned to make it known that they are of ‘Jewish descent’. It doesn’t get more cynical than that. And even though they are ‘pro-Israel’, and may have a ‘dual nationality’, to be used if their criminal activity is catching up with them in their country of birth, they have no inclination to go and live in Israel. Epstein allegedly hated the country, made sure that Ehud Barak, his ‘contact’ within the Israeli secret services, denied that he was working for Mossad, but he kept the best connected Jewish lawyer in the US on retainer. And this lawyer explained on public television that if only Epstein would have allowed him to claim that Epstein *had* been working for Mossad, which he clearly did, he would have been able to avoid a conviction altogether.
This ‘Friends-with-Benefits’ Network, spread all over Europe, the US and ‘headquartered’ in Israel, doesn’t do the Jewish people any good. I’m not their G.d, I’m not intimately familiar with their Scripture, or traditions, but from what I know I do not see how their G.d is looking down on the State of Israel, pleased, and preparing to reward the Jews who made it happen, and who are planning further expansion, bombing and killing those who happen to live on the lands they have set their eyes on. Nor do I feel their G.d agrees to the use of the Holocaust as an excuse to engage in criminal activity, or to ‘open doors’ to preferential treatment. In fact, I get this feeling that *if* their G.d *does* exist, He would be ‘pissed’. And He would not be pleased with the choice of ‘Friends’ of His Chosen People.
