‘For as long as it takes’ is a commitment. Any single person can commit to a cause, but it is not his, of her place to doom others. Fully committed people are ‘hardliners’, religious zealots, and ofter driven by a lust for power, or conflicted love. In the days when marriage was still ‘sacred’, a man and a woman pledged to stay together until death separated them. Great if love brought them together, and never waned. But even if it transformed into a sense of duty over time, that was not a bad thing, since it provided stability for the partners, and their children. In some circles marriages were ‘arranged’ to secure the wealth already created by the ancestors, while the partners understood that relationship as a ‘contract’, offering freedom ‘on the side’. On the cursed European continent that level of commitment is increasingly rare. Boris Johnson, who married the ‘Collective West’ to the fate of the ‘Man in the Green T-Shirt’, running Ukraine on behalf of NATO, effectively divorced multiple times from his partners, and took his ‘home-country’ out of the EU. Loyalty is not his strong suit. In fact, one anecdote about his life in Oxford has him fuming and raging in a ‘Debating Club’ he was a member of, convincingly portraying himself as a ‘socialist’, in order to reach the top of the food-chain in that elitist society, desperately wanting to become the president of that ‘Debating Club’. And he figured that posing as a socialist would do it, since that was the party in vogue at the time. Scouted by that party as a potential candidate they approached him, but he laughed about their naivety, since his ‘points-of-view-du-jour’ were not to be taken seriously. He was a ‘conservative’. Now move on…….
People like Johnson are not bound by anything, but a lust for power. To allow people like that to run the country, is like begging for disaster. Yet Europe collected them through the ages, and paid the price of one war after the other. If you take the road from Bapaume to Albert in France, you pass by one graveyard after another where young men from all over the world are buried, fighting in the First World War. Or go East, and visit the surroundings of Verdun to see even more crosses, and an ossuary where they keep the bones of the unidentified. Why? Because France and Germany had some unsettled business from the 1870 war. In turn, the Second World War was fueled by resentment in Germany over an ‘unjust’ settlement of that First World War. But right below the optics provided to encourage people to join the fight, there are always ambitious imperialists without a heart, or a conscience.
The Europe I grew up in was nice and prosperous, largely anti-imperialistic, and focussed on creating wealth for the people, who had suffered enough. But over time we reintroduced the ambitious individuals who dreamt of expansion, and intervening in conflicts around the globe with religious fervor. They saw it as their ‘Responsibility to Protect’ (R2P). Initially through the United Nations, but gradually autonomously under the banner of the EU and NATO, bypassing the ‘Security Council’ and laying down the law of their ‘Rules Based Order’. Their rules, not formulated as proper laws in a traditional sense. Not innocent until proven guilty, not consistently honoring a ‘common law’ applicable to everyone equally. On the contrary! They truly abhor such a ‘rigid’ construction, and list it as ‘authoritarian’. The absence of a constitution covering the EU is not regarded as a danger. Thus it is wrong to say that those supporting the war with Russia, and longing for more, are driven by ideology. What ideology?
Look at the people presenting themselves as the face and muscle of the ‘Coalition of the Willing’ for a moment. Socialists, ‘Greens’, Conservatives, pseudo Liberals, Fascists, Christians, ‘Muslim Brotherhood’-inspired politicians. ‘Chaos Incorporated’. The common denominator is ‘Victimhood’, not some shared vision of the past, present and future. It is actually rare to catch people discussing politics in Europe. They do not ‘identify’ as belonging to this or that ideology. They ‘identify’ as belonging to a group with similar complaints, looking for an opportunist to voice their complaints in parliament, fully aware that it will not improve their lot anyway, because ‘Brussels’ (the EU and NATO) is in control of their lives whatever they say or do. They do not particularly *like* being kicked around and stepped on, but they long ago forgot how to unite against such abuse. Led by the nose to the noose that will be used to hang them.
As stated before, in previous essays, this is not a particularly novel idea, since the German Nazi Goering already observed that leading a people into wanting war is easy: Just offer them an ‘enemy’ which they need to fear, and off you go. The ‘Jews’ back then, the ‘Muslims’ not all that long ago, the ‘Russians’ today, and the ‘Chinese’ tomorrow. At the impressive Ossuary at Douaumont, containing the bones harvested from the fields around Verdun after the First World War, they expose the people visiting to an ‘introduction’, which is showing ‘Happy French’ and ‘Happy German’ soldiers going to war at the start of that senseless conflict. Both were convinced that it would be over in no time at all. The French saw themselves celebrating in Berlin, and the Germans saw themselves celebrating in Paris. We know how that ended. Yet within a generation they were at each other’s throats again.
Behind the people led by the nose to the noose, are the cynics using them to shape the Empire they have in mind. These people are not driven by ideology either. Merely a raw ‘Will to Power’, as Nietzsche put it. Sadly we fail to recognize them for what they are after the war is over. I wrote THIS essay to illuminate the ‘thinking’ behind what went down in the run-up to the Second World War. How British cynics planned to use the Germans as a battering ram to take on the Soviets, facilitated by British banks, and why that backfired. That is not how we are ‘taught’ to remember that war, since cynics will *always* portray themselves as ‘Great Leaders’ of a people being the victim, emerging victorious, for obvious reasons. The only possible exception are those running the Jewish State of Israel, who do not exactly hide their cynicism, and prefer to be seen as ‘dangerous’ and ‘unpredictable’. And they claim the ‘right’ to be ‘dangerous’ and ‘unpredictable’ because they are, as a ‘people’, the world’s preeminent ‘victims’.
As I exposed on these pages, the NATO-countries planned this war with Russia, using Ukraine, assuming it would be over in a matter of weeks, or months. The economic warfare envisioned and prepared would pull the rug from under the ‘regime’ in Moscow, as it struggled to fight the reconstructed Ukrainian army over the fate of the ‘culturally Russian’ people in the Donbas, after Ukraine and NATO went under in 2015 at Debaltseve, after the 2014 coup which installed a ‘NATO-friendly’ client regime in Kiev. That is the cynical part of the story. But the Europeans were not told that story, but they were, and are led by the nose to the noose on the basis of a false story about Ukraine being the victim, which has been accepted as the ‘Gospel Truth’, exactly because Europeans do not talk about politics, and do not study developments, but pick their leaders from the cynics who appeal to them because they offer ‘sympathy’ to their own plight as victims within a system tailored to produce nothing *but* victims for that particular purpose. They ‘missed’ what the ‘Minsk Accord’ was all about, and they ‘missed’ that cynically introduced violence during the ‘Maidan’ protests led the people of Ukraine by the nose to the noose by which they would be hung. As per live BBC-report at the time, snipers fired at ‘Berkut’ police trying to contain the violence, as well as protestors, from a building occupied by the protestors. It was a ‘textbook’ regime change operation to get rid of the democratically elected head of state, and create a ‘proxy’ for NATO to be used in plans to expand the EU and that military alliance further East.
Clearly I’m ignoring the role of the US in all of this, though it was at the helm throughout this process, but where the ‘meat’ is provided by the Europeans, who now insist that it is their *right* to die on the battlefield to serve the cynics, we need an explanation of where that sick notion is coming from. As with these French and German soldiers before the First World War, they are happy to ‘serve’. The entire concept of emancipation as a call to rise above the claim of entitlement is lost on them. Cynics confused them by telling them that emancipation is about creating the conditions for equal outcomes, using ‘rules’, instead of offering a common law to create equal opportunities. Dedication to serve yourself, and your family, inside the boundaries set by a common law, will create prosperity for the society covered by those laws. Dedication to your Masters serves no purpose but that of your Lord and Master.
